RESEARCH TRAINING IN NUCLEAR MOLECULAR IMAGING
Sponsored by a grant through the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, opportunities exist for postdoctoral research training in Nuclear Molecular Imaging at the Harvard Medical School Affiliated hospitals of the Joint Program in Nuclear Medicine including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Children's Hospital Boston, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital and the Boston VA Healthcare System.
The Program includes formal training in the fundamentals of nuclear medical science, advanced formal training in selected areas defined by the candidate's interest and goals, and an extended research experience in the form of mentored research projects. The training combines formal courses, clinical conferences and seminars as well as active participation in research.The training is expected to extend over two years.
In order to be considered for the program an applicant must be a citizen of the U.S. or permanent resident and have an M.D. degree. It is also highly desirable for the applicant to have completed an approved residency program.
Stipend levels are in accordance with NIH guidelines based on years of postdoctoral experience and may be supplemented.
